Hey Everyone, in light of recent headlines about the National Association of Realtors (NAR), I wanted to help clarify whats going on and clear up some key points.
There's been a lot of confusion surrounding the recent National Association of Realtors (NAR) settlement. This article from the Herald Tribune provides a clear explanation.
Here in the Northwest, it's important to remember that real estate regulations are local. Our MLS (Northwest MLS or NWMLS) is independent of NAR, and any changes to commission disclosure would be decided by them.
NWMLS is already ahead of the curve. They require a signed Buyer's Agency agreement before showing homes, ensuring buyers have representation.
Have Questions? Feel free to reach out! I'm happy to discuss the NAR settlement or any real estate needs you may have.
